PROPS NEEDED: Block + Pillow or Bolster (optional)

The ‘Hold Steady’ Class. This lower limb class encourages a sense of grounding in and down. We start with articulations of the toes, feet, and ankles, bolstered and challenged by squeezing a block. As our joints turn inwards, so too can our focus. The block assists first with knowing where we place our weight in our feet and then becomes a marker for measuring the range of motion in the rotation of the calf. After some kinetic flow through the hip joint, we explore a ‘juiced up’ variation of the yoga asana, janu sirsasana (or head to knee pose). It all ties together with a dynamic and challenging squat sequence - no small feet! (Pun intended.)
