Start deep in the hip joint and end deeply connected to your whole being. In this class we warm-up and train for a challenging sitting pattern that takes us for a ride around our mats. Some front-lying work to follows gets us into the back of our hip tissues, the knees, and ankles. We move into a quadruped position for hip mobility challenges using longer levers and higher loads, and to tackle necessary warm-ups for our shoulder blades, elbows, fingers, and wrists. In a low-lunge position, we get our spine twisting and turning in ways that challenge our coordination and active ranges of motion in the trunk, and challenge rotation at the shoulder joint in every range. We finish with an active spinal segmentation exercise in child’s pose and a sweet meditation that guides you right back to what matters most - YOU.
