OMG, this one is overflowing with golden nuggets! Join Adam and me as we explore a full-body tune-up using the wall to help us sense our bodies more intimately and precisely. This class is full of closed chain movements which adds resistance and helps us to gain more control and strength as we play with forces. The wall also blocks out our tendencies to compensate for limited movement in certain areas inviting novel inputs to tissues that are typically under-activated. We start with the feet and work our way up the body, leaving no stone unturned. We get deep into our hip tissues by training internal and external rotation with resistance. We also focus on training our hamstrings and hip flexors using eccentric exercises (lengthening under load) and isometric exercises (static holds for time). This class also includes creative ways to get your core and spine tissues fired up and fun explorations for the shoulder tissues, all using the wall. This ramps up to a challenging arm balancing sequence from quadruped to side plank to a version of wild-thing lighting up your whole body. Get it!
