The Power of Connection

In a culture that deprioritizes authentic connection, the importance of cultivating healthy and conscious relationships cannot be overstated. Our wellbeing is profoundly influenced by the quality of our connections with others, because at our core, we are relational beings. It is through relationships that we find joy, intimacy, love, and fulfillment, and without them, we lose touch with a vital part of our humanity.

Building Authentic Connection

Our relationships, both with ourselves and others, deeply affect our health holistically. If we lack deep connection and intimacy with ourselves and others, this can leave us feeling quite distressed and can quickly diminish our self-worth. Similarly, if we have built our identity around fulfilling others’ needs at the expense of our own happiness, it can lead to feelings of emptiness, resentment, and unfulfillment. However, by establishing and nurturing authentic relationships and deep connections with ourselves and others who support our journey towards wholeness, we can experience fulfillment, support, and a sense of inherent worthiness.

Healing in Connection

Enhancing and repairing the relationship and quality of connection with ourselves happens through loving presence, diving deep into our past experiences and adaptations, and nurturing our core needs. Because we are relational beings at our core, we evolve and grow within relationships. So having a trustworthy someone to guide us back into a healthy connection with ourselves can be a huge help. We are typically wounded within a relationship, which points to the importance of healing within a relationship. We believe there’s no better way to heal than within a safe and supportive container, in connection with others seeking safety and support, too.

When we only engage in “ the work” independently, how can we expect to translate and integrate our learnings into our day-to-day relationships? Making relational changes, learning to relate more authentically, inevitably affects your existing relationships and impacts those around you – there’s a ripple effect. Your current relationships are likely relying on and possibly benefiting from the adaptations, habits, and patterns that came out of your past wounds. It’s challenging to make relational changes and adjustments on your own, without support, and doing so can leave you feeling frustrated, alone, disconnected, and may even encourage old behaviors to resurface on the quest for connection.

The Process of… Connection

That’s why our online program, The Process, is a group experience -it’s uniquely supportive and offers a place to begin practicing lasting and meaningful relational skills for life. In a small, intimate group of only 6 participants, guided by an experienced somatic therapy practitioner, you learn to cultivate the relationships you crave (and deserve!) alongside others doing the same. You learn and practice relational skills in real time, testing out what feels, sounds, and looks authentic and resonates for you at this stage in your life.

The most important work we can do, our responsibility to ourselves and to others, is to cultivate authentic connection with ourselves and others, and continue to refine what we bring and what we receive from others. When you join The Process, you are not only investing in the first step of your own wellbeing, you’re choosing to heal with others, and experience what it means to be part of a supportive and nurturing community.

Our signature group program, The Process, is open for registration this fall. Join us in our September cohort, starting Tuesday the 17th, or save your spot for October, beginning Tuesday the 8th.
